So you would be going from DC to AC, and then back to DC in the router. But with an off-grid battery system, you need an inverter to get AC power. That’s fine for residential applications, where you are connected to the grid and have AC power readily available. It converts AC power from the wall plug into usable 48V DC power for the dish. The Starlink router doubles as a power supply for the dish. Efficiency is extremely important to maximize the amount of energy available.
